It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old, they grow old because they stop pursuing dreams. ~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez ~
Have you noticed how children can live in an imagined world? Have you ever seen an adult dreaming like a child? Unfortunately we can’t find out whether we don’t pursuit dreams because we grow old or we grow old because we don’t pursue our dreams…
The children are thought to be the best actors because they believe in given circumstances, while professional actors make efforts to believe and to live in an imagined world. Children are so flexible and naïve that it is very easy for them to believe and play, but it would hardly may be called playing because they live. We should learn a lot from them: living, believing, playing, the way they are doing, feeling and accepting things. They take what they want, say what they want and do what they want; and it doesn’t matter whether it is possible or impossible to realize it. If we had child’s enthusiasm the world would be opened to any idea, any dream!
God blessed children and the gates of heaven are open for those who are alike them. Therefore they don’t see the reality, which has a destructive effect upon a dream. Pragmatism and fear prevent us from dreaming and making plans, we look for different reasons not to attempt not to aspire, but to stay on a habitual place where everything is usual and well-known and nothing unpredictable happens. Unfortunately adult persons lose the lust for adventures and realizing dreams in favor of stability.
Growing up we forget our dreams and follow simple life necessities rather than high aspirations, but the ones who haven’t lost the child from his soul follow their dreams and are happy living the way they would like to.
Ask yourself whether the child you were would be happy to be the adult you are now…
Live the life you want, pursue your dreams and don’t mind the public opinion – sometimes it is different than yours! Believe in your dreams and believe in your power!
